The foundation of the guidance of Surat al-Baqarah is iman/conviction, full trust in the Book and the Messenger to whom it was sent down. When this trust is securely established worship and obedience become natural, comfortable and comforting.

This is an intensive course on how to study and how to understand the Qur’an based on Surah Al-Baqarah. In addition to the meaning and Tafsir of the Surah the student will study many of the sciences of the Qur’an as well as principles of tafsir. The study will be based on Shaykh Dr Mohammad Akram Nadwi’s own research and thinking as well as knowledge synthesized form the Tafsir of Tabari, Zamakshari, Farahi and others.
