Surah Al-Nur is a Madani surah based upon the false accusations made against one of the righteous mothers of Islam, Aisha (ra).

The surah uses the virtues of Aisha (ra) to demonstrate the necessity of upholding the rights and dignity of God fearing men and women. We live in a society whereby adultery, fornication and immodesty have become prevalent. Such actions disintegrate families and create fragmented societies, leaving individuals in a state of loss and despair.
